A Different Approach To A Summer Swim Team: 
Nu Wave Swim Club, through it’s parent organization Swim New Orleans, Inc., is proud to offer a “Country Club Free” Summer Swim Team. Participants will get to compete in the New Orleans Country Club Summer Swim League, but do not have to join one of the area’s country club to do so. How? We have made arrangements with the league to offer this outlet to children who do not have a Louisiana Swimming State qualifying time in any event. If you do not know what that means…you qualify to participate!
What’s wrong with a Country Club Swim Team? Absolutely nothing! It’s a lot of fun…which is one of the reason we joined the league! Summer club leagues have been 
the starting point for many of our country’s brightest stars. We feel that if we can broaden the appeal of this league, we can introduce more children to the sport we love. In essence, we are taking down the barriers so more people can see if swimming is for them.
What makes your team different? Our summer swim team is organized and run by professional coaches who work each day to raise the level of swim performance here in the greater New Orleans area (both on the club and collegiate levels). Our caring, certified coaches have the experience and expertize needed to give your child the tools necessary to grow in the sport. They have worked with swimmers at the highest levels and want to bring that type of atmosphere here to New Orleans.
Our program is technique based to ensure that each swimmer understands the fundamentals and can develop within the sport properly. We take the time to teach rather than to simply train…and that make a big difference, long term. We even offer a 5 days a week instruction option (barring competition days) to ensure that each child gets the attention they need to excel. It truly is a higher level of instruction and training than is usually offered in a country club environment…and it’s run by professionals who know how to get the job done.
We know, from many years experience, that a summer swim team should mainly be about having fun and making friends. Our program offers your child these opportunities in a fun, nurturing and caring environment. And if your child is ready for more after the summer, we are ready with programs designed to take him or her as far as there will and dedication allows. Keep in mind, we are New Orleans high performance swimming organization.

Space will be limited to ensure the quality of our program, first come, first served. We refuse to take on too many swimmers and dilute the learning environment.
Are you a current Nu Wave swimmer looking for a summer swimming alternative to USA Swimming meets? Parents - if your son or daughter is currently a member of our club, does not have a LA. State qualifying time and wants to be involved in our summer swim in addition to our club offerings, we have good news. We are making space available to you with a limited financial burden. Your child can train with their current workout group and go to meets with our summer team. We want to ensure that every eligible child has the opportunity for a fun summer of swimming. Your child can participate if they meet the time criteria and pay a small $50 fee to cover expenses (which can be deducted from your escrow account). High School Prep swimmers also have this option. How fun is that?
